JSON diff checker

Compare JSON structure and values, optionally ignoring array order or named fields.

Compare structure · Optional unordered arrays

Ignored field names apply at every object level. Unordered arrays retain duplicate counts and report a changed array as a whole; items are not matched by ID.

Usage guide and examples

Compare two JSON structures

Enter valid JSON on both sides to inspect added, removed and changed paths. Optionally ignore array order or enter comma-separated field names such as updatedAt and requestId, then review the comparison.

Check the input format and options with this example before using your own data. Random values, file sizes and presentation vary with the input and settings.

{"a":2}

JSON comparison

Compare JSON values instead of text formatting

Both inputs must be valid JSON. The result lists changes by path and indicates whether the parsed documents are identical.

01

Object key order does not create a change

{"a":1,"b":2} and {"b":2,"a":1} compare as identical. Whitespace and indentation also disappear during parsing; use Text Diff if these textual differences matter.

02

Choose how arrays are compared

By default, [1,2] and [2,1] are different. Enable Ignore array order to compare them as unordered collections, preserving duplicate counts. Changed unordered arrays are reported as a whole; items are not matched by ID.

03

Ignore volatile fields deliberately

Enter comma-separated field names such as updatedAt or requestId to exclude them at every object level. Other types and missing values still differ: the number 1 is not the string "1", and a missing property is not null.
