Lengths in the calculation use: Metres (m)

Cylinder and cone heights are perpendicular, not slant lengths. A sphere needs only radius or diameter. Capacity converts geometric volume to litres. Results use up to 12 significant digits; values involving π are approximate.

Usage guide and examples

Calculate volume from solid dimensions

Choose a solid and enter dimensions with units. Cylinders, cones and spheres accept radius or diameter; height is perpendicular. View volume, litres and calculation; copy individual rows or all. A 2 m × 3 m × 4 m cuboid has volume 24 m³ and capacity 24000 L.

Check the input format and options with this example before using your own data. Random values, file sizes and presentation vary with the input and settings.

Example input and settings
